Environmental Science Academy

Welcome to the Environmental Science Academy (ESA)!

 “Act Locally, Think Globally!”

Our Mission:
The Environmental Science Academy is designed for students who have a strong interest in science and want to actively participate in the preservation of our planet. We believe the careers of the future are in “green” technology and engineering solutions to environmental problems such as pollution, climate change, and dwindling energy resources. With that in mind, our students engage in project-based lessons, seeking out solutions to problems in order to help others, and try to make the world a better place. Our students love animals and enjoy nature, and their interests are incorporated throughout the curriculum.

Planned Projects and highlights that Environmental Science Academy students will do throughout the year:

*Students design a Solar Oven and cook s’mores
*Code of Hammurabi Legal Debates
*Earth Day Collaborative Project
*Environmentally based Science Fair Project
*Fake TV News Broadcast Based on Classic Literary Works
*Submarine buoyancy project
*Egg drop project
*Ancient Civilizations Marketplace (Environmental aspects)

An Environmental Science Academy Student is…
*Student who has a strong interest in science and wants to actively participate in the preservation of our planet.
