8th Grade Information (for students & parents)

CULMINATION REQUIREMENTS: 

To participate in the culmination activity, eighth grade students must have :
  • 50 credits in the eighth grade.
  • No more than TWO (2) F’s on the final report card for the entire 8th grade year. BOTH FALL AND SPRING combined.
  • No more than TWO U’s in “Cooperation” and/or TWO U’s in “Work Habits” on the final report card for the 8th grade year. BOTH FALL AND SPRING combined.
  • No more than SEVEN (7) UNEXCUSED absences for the 8th grade year.
  • Have returned and/or cleared all textbooks debts, library books, and/or any other debts. If you do not pay your debt, you will not receive your culmination certificate and furthermore, your debt will follow you to high school. 
  • Have no frequent or serious violations of school regulations.

8th GRADE CONTRACT / ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES:

All 8th graders, MUST complete the contract below with their parent and submit it ASAP to be able to participate in 8th grade activities during the year!

*Note regarding IHP Teacher recommendations: Because this is a highly competitive 3-year program, it is our policy to provide teacher recommendations ONLY to 8th grade students applying to high school.
