Chromebook troubleshooting tips
If you are having a problem connecting to LAUSD WI-FI on your chromebook. Check if WI-Fi is ON and check the clock on your chromebook. If chromebook time is not correct, it will not connect to LAUSD Wi-Fi. To update the clock on the chromebook it needs to connect to the time server and sync clocks. It can be done in these easy steps
Step 1: Connect chromebook to a personal hotspot via WI-FI or hardware using ethernet adaptor and network drop. After you’ve made an internet connection, give it about 10–30 seconds for the clock to sync and check if the date and time on chromebook is correct.
Step 2: Disconnect chromebook from a personal hotspot or unplug ethernet adaptor and restart the chromebook.
Step 3: After restart, wait for 10–30 seconds for chromebook to connect to the LAUSD Wi-Fi.
Step 4: If chromebook still failed to connect to the LAUSD Wi-Fi, restart it and repeat Step 3.
Keyboard language layout
If you are having problem typing correct letters on your keyboard, please check your keyboard layout in the corner next to the clock. It should be set to US English (US).
